France is not going to indiscriminately signal a #Brexit deal on 31 December says minister

France wouldn’t signal a nasty post-Brexit cope with the United Kingdom on 31 December only for the sake of agreeing one to satisfy a deadline, stated French European Affairs Minister Amelie de Montchalin on Wednesday (19 February), writes Sudip Kar-Gupta.

“We must not cede to the pressures of a timetable,” Montchalin informed a listening to of the French Senate.

Britain left the EU in January with an 11-month, business-as-usual transition interval, and might want to agree new buying and selling phrases from January 2021 to keep away from potential disruption to commerce.
