French exports of products are down by 21.5% in comparison with the primary half of 2019, in accordance with an estimate by the Insee statistics company on Friday.

The drop is bigger than the one recorded within the first half of 2009, on the peak of the Great Recession. “This is the largest half-year decline since the series began” 50 years in the past, Insee stated.
