Indian cinema once again proved its immense popularity in 2024, where several films impressed the audience and set new records.
Google’s annual ‘Air in Search’ report released the list of the most searched Indian movies of 2024, with ‘Stree 2’, ‘Salar’ and ‘Kilki 2898 AD’ taking the top positions.
Shraddha Kapoor’s popular horror-comedy movie ‘Story 2’ was declared as the most searched Indian movie. The film’s intriguing story and stellar performances impressed fans, continuing the success of its prequel.
It’s been a special year for Prabhas, with two of his films making it to the top of Google’s list.
‘Kilki 2898 AD’, which also stars Deepika Padukone, came second. The stunning visuals and interesting story of this science fiction film impressed the audience. ‘Saalar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ stood at number nine, with its intense action and brilliant story taking the box office by storm.
Vikrant Massey’s impressive film ’12th Fail’ took the third spot. The film tells the story of a young man’s educational difficulties and struggles, which touched the hearts of the viewers.
‘Missing Ladies’, India’s Oscar entry, finished fourth. Teja Saja’s superhero film ‘Hanuman’ and Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Maharaja’ stood at the fifth and sixth positions.
Malayalam thriller ‘Manjammal Boys’ was at the seventh position, while Thalapathy Vijay’s action film ‘The Greatest of All Time’ was at the eighth position and Fahad Fazil’s ‘Aveesham’ at the tenth position.
