The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, Ministry of Interior, on Wednesday introduced that it has slashed the price of passports with rapid impact.
According to a notification issued on this regard, as reported by Geo.television, a passport issued for 5 years with a complete variety of 36 pages will now value Rs3,000, in the meantime, Rs5,000 can be charged for pressing companies.
As for passports with a validity of 5 years containing 72 pages, the price has been set at Rs5,500, whereas Rs9,000 can be charged for pressing companies.
A passport with a validity of 5 years with 100 pages will now value Rs6,000, whereas an pressing price for a similar passport has been set at Rs12,000.
The notification additional mentioned that passports with a validity of 10 years, containing 36 pages, will value Rs4,500, whereas pressing ones can be issued for Rs.7,500.
Akin to that, a passport with a 10-year validity with a complete of 72 pages will value Rs8,250, whereas an pressing service price for a similar can be Rs13,500.
For passports with a validity of 10 years, containing 100 pages, the conventional price has been set at Rs9,000, whereas an pressing service price for a similar can be Rs18,000.
The revised charges can be relevant from February 17, 2021, the notification mentioned.
