A hearing was held on departmental actions against 49 officials involved in boat accidents in Ardal Room. 4 inspectors, 10 sub-inspectors, 2 ASIs, 5 head constables and 14 constables involved in boat accidents were dismissed.
Cases were registered against 13 officials involved in human trafficking. According to the FIA spokesperson, Director General FIA Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir has said that there is no place in the organization for officials involved in negligence and carelessness in boating accidents.
Disciplinary action against officials involved in boat accidents will be ensured, the purpose of departmental accountability is to rid the institution of black sheep involved in corruption and other irregularities. Strict action is being taken against FIA officials involved in illegal activities.
DGFIA Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir said that officials involved in the exploitation of innocent citizens do not deserve any concession. Human trafficking will be eradicated only through the accountability process in the institution.
