Gwadar suicide assault: China asks Pakistan to punish perpetrators

ISLAMABAD: Strongly condemning the suicide assault on a automobile carrying Chinese nationals in Balochistan’s Gwadar, China on Saturday requested Islamabad to conduct an intensive investigation into the incident and severely punish the perpetrators.

In an announcement from the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, the Pakistani authorities has been urged to take sensible steps to make sure such incidents don’t happen once more.

“At the same time, relevant departments at all levels in Pakistan must take practical and effective measures to accelerate to implement strengthened whole-process security measures and upgraded security cooperation mechanism to ensure that similar incidents will not happen again,” learn the assertion.

According to an Interior Ministry assertion, a convoy comprising 4 autos carrying Chinese nationals “with integral security details of Pakistan army and police contingent” was focused on East Bay Expressway.
