Karachi:
The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan continues to expenditure from public funds despite the country’s unsuccessful financial conditions and scheduled financial deficits in the public universities, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has issued public expenditures on the Vice -Chancellors and Richters of Government Universities across the country.
The conference is taking place in the Moroccan capital of Rabat in the last decade of June, for which the Vice -Chancellors of public tax and student fee -powers have been asked to contact the conference with their own university funds.
It should be noted that the federal government funds the universities of all four provinces of the country through the HEC, while the provincial government of Sindh provides several billion rupees of funds for the university.
However, in a letter issued by HEC Islamabad, the cost of the visit is being put on the relevant universities, while it is also reported that some high officials are taking the HEC to the conference with their funds and this is happening when the services of the Federal Urdu University are being deprived of several months.
The same is the case in Balochistan University, the federal government’s institute established in Hyderabad also needs funds and many universities in Sindh are paying salaries and pensions by borrowing from banks.
It should be noted that the conference was to be held in Pakistan on May 12, but according to the text of the letter, it has been transferred to Morocco in the context of the situation in the region. The EC is not ready to do so.
Meanwhile, the “Express” also tried repeatedly with Federal Secretary Education Nadeem Mehboob on the matter, but he avoided contact.
