
Saudi Arabia and Russia signed a historic agreement for 90-day mutual visa-free travel.
According to Arab media, Saudi Arabia and Russia have signed an important and historic agreement on Monday.
Under this agreement, citizens of both countries will now be able to travel to each other’s country without a visa for 90 days.
The purpose of this decision is to promote tourism, business and cultural exchange. The agreement was reached during the Saudi-Russian Investment and Business Forum in Riyadh.
The ceremony was attended by Saudi Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Joint Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
The agreement was formally signed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
Under which citizens holding all types of passports (diplomatic, special and ordinary) will be able to travel without a visa.
The only purpose of travel on this visa can be tourism, business or visiting family and friends.
Citizens of both countries will be able to stay continuously or multiple times for a total of 90 days in a calendar year.
The agreement is a sign of the two governments’ commitment to ease travel restrictions and increase connectivity.
However, this visa-free facility will not be applicable for employment, education, Hajj or Umrah and the visa is valid only for 90 days in a year.
