Hockey Asiacup; India plans to exclude Pakistan from the event

India has completed preparations to exclude Pakistan from Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025.


According to media reports, the Men’s Hockey Asia Cup is scheduled in Rajgir, India in August and September this year, the tournament is an important source of qualification of the 2026 Hockey World Cup.

After the increasing diplomatic tension between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam incident, India refused to grant visas to the Pakistani team in a twisted manner, but now the green shirts are likely to be excluded from the tournament.

The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has not yet commented on the situation, but Indian authorities do not want to see the visa and the Pakistani team part of the tournament.

On the other hand, there has been no stand on the situation by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).

Reports say that no statement has been made by the Indian government regarding the Pakistani team’s participation in the tournament.

The record of the Pakistani team that won the Asia Cup title three times has been brilliant, the men’s hockey team has participated in 11 of the 12 events, which is higher than any team.
