How did an Indian actor earning 150 rupees a day become the owner of 150 crores?

Popular actor Sanjay Mishra, who once earned Rs 150 a day at a dhaba, today owns property worth crores.

Sanjay started his Bollywood career with the film “Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India”, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan. However, it took a long struggle of 24 years for him to achieve success in the film industry.

Sanjay Mishra started his career with TV shows, but his real recognition came from comic roles. He is known for his brilliant performances in films like “All the Best”, “Golmaal”, “Banti Aur Babli” and “Apna Sapna Mini Mini”.

There was a time in Sanjay Mishra’s life when his father passed away and he himself fell ill. During one shooting, 15 liters of pus was removed from his stomach. After his father’s death, he left everything in despair and moved to Rishi Kesh, where he worked in a dhaba and earned Rs 150 a day.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who was looking for Sanjay Mishra, brought him to the same dhaba and offered him a role in the film “All the Best”. This film marked the re-entry of Sanjay Mishra in Bollywood.

Today, Sanjay Mishra owns houses in Mumbai and Patna, while his net worth is around Rs 150 crore. They also own expensive vehicles like Fortuner and BMW.

In 2024, Sanjay Mishra built an organic farmhouse and a Shiva temple in Tiskari village in Lonavala. This temple fulfills the 41-year-old prophecy of two saints. The farmhouse offers tourists an opportunity to experience agriculture and even Sanjay Mishra himself comes here to relax.
