According to a BBC report, Major Manoj Kumar, an eyewitness to the accident at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport, told Reuters news agency that the plane was performing “negative g manoeuvres”. He (the pilot) was already flying very low. Then he sleeps for a while and hits the ground straight away.’
“Then there was complete silence and I think people realized what had happened,” said Major Manoj Kumar of the Indian Army. There was a big fireball and it is very surprising. I have never felt such emotions in my life.’
According to the Dubai Air Show 2025 website, about 150,000 people and 1,500 companies have participated in it.
Jagdish Ahmed was also present at the airport to watch the air show with his family.
Jagdish Varia told Reuters news agency that the aircraft did not fly for more than 8 or 9 minutes and had completed only two to three rounds before it started coming towards the ground.
He said that when the plane hit the ground, three different types of fireballs were created. All the spectators stood up and then emergency vehicles reached the place of creation within three seconds.
A large number of fans were present at the airport to watch the aerial stunts during the air show.
