Recent research has shown that the human brain can remain naturally safe for thousands of years in certain circumstances, which is a surprise to scientists.
A comprehensive study led by Alexandra Morton-Hord, a researcher at Oxford University, has set a record of more than 4,400 protected human brains from around the world.
There are more than 1,300 cases where only the brain was safe, while all the other soft tissues were gone.
