I did what you are strongly suggested to not do, and listened to my child’s heartbeat from home frequently. It was stunning and valuable and fragile. I had quite a few reassurance scans, supported by Sarah, the superb bereavement midwife at my native hospital. I returned to work and tried to get by way of the times, weeks and months.
