Martha Stewart has shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s recent foray into the lifestyle industry.
Speaking to Yahoo LifestyleStewart said, “Meghan I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about.”
Known as a pioneer in the lifestyle space, Stewart continued, “Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.”
The comments come months after Markle launched her lifestyle, cooking, and hosting brand, As Everalongside her Netflix series With Love, Meghanwhich was recently renewed for a second season despite mixed reactions.
While Stewart said she doesn’t “mind” having successors, she wished them “good luck,” suggesting a balance of encouragement and scrutiny.
Markle’s As Ever product range includes rosé, tea, honey, cookie and crêpe mixes, and an apricot fruit spread.
The Duchess of Sussex, alongside Prince Harry, has undertaken multiple ventures since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, but not all have escaped public or industry critique.
