ICC Test player rankings continue, bad news for Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the Test player rankings.

England’s Joe Root retains his top position in the latest rankings released. While England’s Harry Brook is second and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson is in third place.

India’s Yashvi Jaiswal moved up one place to fourth place and Australia’s Travis Head dropped one place to fifth place.

Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel and Australia’s Steve Smith moved up three places to sixth and seventh respectively.

While Commando Mendes, South African captain Temba Bwuma and New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell dropped two and two places to eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam dropped two places to the 17th position.

On the other hand, the top position of India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains in the list of Test bowlers.

Australia’s Josh Hazlewood and captain Pete Cummins moved up one place to second and third respectively.

South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is fourth after dropping two places, South Africa’s Marco Jensen is fifth after six places, New Zealand’s Matt Henry, Australia’s Nathan Line, Sri Lanka’s Prabhat Jayasuriya, Pakistan’s Nauman Ali and India’s Ravindra Jadeja dropped one, one to sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi dropped one place to 18th position.
