IHC denies bail to prime suspect in meals supply boy’s alleged gang-rape case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday dismissed the bail plea of the prime suspect in a case pertaining to the alleged gang-rape of a meals supply boy at a personal college in Islamabad.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the IHC introduced the decision over the bail plea, ordering the dismissal and consequent arrest of the suspect, Ibrahim Khan.

Implementing the judicial orders, the police arrested Khan outdoors the courtroom proper after the listening to.

The alleged gang-rape

A 22-year-old meals supply boy was allegedly gang-raped at a personal college’s campus in June 2021.

As reported by Geo News, a professor on the varsity, Dr Mushtaq, had written a letter to the college’s rector, demanding a probe into the matter.

“The culprits involved in the incident should be penalised instead of covering up the crime,” wrote Mushtaq within the letter.

Later, the college’s self-discipline committee expelled two college students, Ibrahim Khan and Mehmood Ashraf, on the idea of suspicion.
