He said that Hepatitis C is a major healthcare disease in Pakistan and Pakistan is now ranked first with the highest spread of hepatitis in the world.
The spokesman said that in partnership with all the four provinces, a program to eliminate 68 billion hepatitis C has been launched. The Ministry of Health has devised an integrated strategy to ensure the elimination of hepatitis, which aims to prevent the widespread spread of hepatitis C in Pakistan.
He said that hepatitis C can be treated with only 3 months of treatment. In addition, the timely detection of the patient with hepatitis C is a major challenge and is essential in the screening. Timely treatment can prevent liver disorders and liver cancer.
