In Balochistan, the temperature dropped to minus 9 while the water coming into the lines also froze due to the extreme cold.
According to the Meteorological Department, the cold wave is continuing in North Balochistan including Quetta and the minimum temperature has been recorded as low as minus 9 degrees in Ziarat, where the running water in the pipes also froze.
The minimum temperature in Kalat is minus 7 degrees Celsius, Zhob is minus 2 degrees Celsius due to severe cold, in Sabi, Naukandi, Dhadar, Chagai and Dalbandin. Cold winds are likely to blow.
Due to cold winds blowing in Kaan Mehtarzai, Pashin, Khanuzai including Qila Saifullah, Muslim Bagh, Saranan, the weather is likely to remain colder.
