DGISPR Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif says that the enemy fired more missiles on May 9 and 10 to intimidate us, but India forgot that Pakistan’s nation, its forces never bended and could not be bowed.
Speaking exclusively to RT Arabia, DGISPR Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif said that it is necessary to go in the background to understand Pak -India tensions. India is patronizing terrorism in the region, especially in Pakistan, and India is hiding behind false statements to hide the truth.
Spokesman Pak Army said that a few minutes after the Pahalgam incident, Indian media and social media started blamed Pakistan, Indian Foreign Minister acknowledged two days later that the investigation was still underway. Where is the wisdom of making allegations without investigation and evidence?
Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif said that the Government of Pakistan took a clear stand that there was any evidence, then it should be given to a neutral institution, we are ready to cooperate. India rejected this logical offer and fired missiles at our mosques, martyred children, women and the elders in unilateral action.
DGISPR said that India is the real patron of terrorism in Pakistan, whether it be Kharijites or terrorist groups operating in Balochistan. The sacred responsibility given to the Pakistan Army is the protection of the country’s sovereignty and borders. We fulfilled this responsibility and will do it at all costs.
Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif said that Pakistan gave an urgent, tough and effective response while taking a very adult ideology, which led to the enemy. On the night of May 6 and 7, India attacked, fired missiles, after which our Air Force fired 5 of their planes, the nation and the forces of Pakistan stood like a lead wall.
“The enemy fired more missiles on the night of May 9 and 10 to intimidate us, and on the morning of May 10, we responded, with great responsibility and caution only targeting their military targets while not a single civilian target was a proper, fair and balanced response,” he said.
Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif said that a spokesman for the Indian Ministry of Defense came and requested a ceasefire. We want peace and stability, so we said why not? Our diplomatic corpse, in a tremendous way, made the global community in an extraordinary way.
The DGISPR said that we are not a violent nation but a serious nation and our first priority is peace. Large and sensible powers like the United States, better understand what the spirit of the people of Pakistan is.
