Indian actor and film critic Kamal Rashid Khan (KRK) termed India’s semi-final and final in the ICCT Twenty20 World Cup 2026 as a waste of time.
Indian actor Kamal Rashid Khan ridiculed the cricket board and the team after the Indian cricket team won the T20 World Cup for the second time in a row on the social networking website ‘X’.
In his post, he addressed the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) and sarcastically congratulated the board and the team for winning the T20 World Cup.
Congratulations to team #BCCI for winning #t20worldcup2026!
Both semifinals and final match are waste of time. Each match was decided by first inning only.— KRK (@kamaalrkhan) March 8, 2026
He said that both the semi-finals of the ICCT Twenty World Cup and India’s final against New Zealand were also a waste of time as the results of the matches were revealed in the same innings of all the matches.
He claimed that the match was decided in the very first innings of India’s semi-final and final.
It should be remembered that both the semi-finals and the final of the T-Twin World Cup were held in India after Pakistan and Sri Lanka were out of the joint hosting by India and Sri Lanka.
In the first semi-final at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, New Zealand defeated a strong team like South Africa in a one-sided contest.
In the second semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India set England a record target of 254 runs and won the match.
Later, in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India set a mammoth target of 256 runs in response to which the Kiwis were bowled out for 159 runs.
