She has come. India had closed its consulate in Jalalabad in 2020 itself.

Awaiting incident report
People said that India is in touch with Afghan officials and is waiting for the report of the incident. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to Afghan media reports, the Afghan employee of the Consulate has been identified as Wadud Khan. He was reportedly working as an Afghan national. After the Taliban capture, Khan left Afghanistan and went to India. Reports say Khan reportedly returned to Afghanistan a few months ago and started working at the consulate again.

2016 attack: Wadud Khan Shirzad survived the armed attack on the Consulate in Jalalabad, but his driver died.
Recent attack: This is the third incident in which Wadud was injured and his driver lost his life.

This incident has highlighted the growing security challenges in the region. Repeated attacks on Indian Consulate staff are a matter of grave concern. This raises questions on regional stability and diplomatic security.
