Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto Arrives in India for Republic Day Visit Strengthening India Indonesia Relations

India Indonesia Relations: Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto arrived in India on Thursday (January 23). Let me tell you that this is his first visit to India in which he will join as the chief guest of India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations. He was welcomed by the Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margerita at the airport. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal welcomed the visit to ‘X’ and said, “This journey will further strengthen India-Indonesia relations.”

During this visit by President Subianto, important agreements are likely to be made to increase cooperation in many areas. The journey will provide an opportunity to strengthen the strategic partnership between India and Indonesia. In the last few years, there has been a particular increase in relations between India and Indonesia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Indonesia in 2018 and Prime Minister Modi and President Subianto also met in November last year.

President Subianto will attend Republic Day

President Subianto will be the fourth Indonesian President to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations. Earlier, Indonesia’s first President Sukarno attended India’s first Republic Day celebrations in 1950 as the chief guest. On this occasion, a 352 -member marching from Indonesia and the band squad will participate in the Republic Day parade on the duty path. This will be the first time Indonesian marching and band squad will participate in the National Day Parade abroad.

Possibility of strengthening India-Indonesia relations

Cultural and business relations between India and Indonesia have been stronger for thousands of years. Both countries are maritime neighbors and they have a close relationship with each other. Through this visit, there is a possibility of more cooperation between the two countries, which will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries in the coming time.
