The industrialists have strongly criticized the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel and demanded the Prime Minister to roll back the increase in the prices of petroleum products.
Site Association President Ahmed Azim Alvi has said that immediately after the announcement of the Prime Minister’s five-year economic plan, “Udan Pakistan”, the increase in the prices of petroleum products is against the economic vision of the Prime Minister, which will hamper economic activities. If affected, the Prime Minister should take immediate notice and conduct an investigation against the price hikers.
The President of Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry, Sheikh Muhammad Tahsin, expressed his anger over the increase in the prices of petroleum products and said that the government should immediately reduce the prices of petroleum products by cutting taxes, especially the medium ones. And small-scale traders, who are already suffering enough, are being affected.
Former President of Hyderabad Chamber of Small Industry, Mohammad Farooq Shekhani strongly condemned the unjustified increase in the prices of petroleum products, saying that it is an exploitative measure, which will affect businessmen and consumers alike. He demanded the government to withdraw the increase. Advised to adopt a policy of providing relief to the people.
