Arshad teawala’s identity document hearing on a petition against the block, the court granted respite.
Rawalpindi High Court Justice Jawad Hassan heard the petition filed by Arshad Khan al -Ma’arif Arshad Teawala against the identity card and passport blocking.
The petition took the stand that the applicant’s identity documents were blocked without any reason and that NADRA’s residential evidence was being sought before 1978, which is not possible to provide.
During the hearing, Nadra and Passport Office officials submitted a report to the court, according to which Arshad Khan’s documents were blocked on the basis of the report of certified intelligence agencies. The report claims that Arshad Khan is an Afghan citizen, and under government policy, Afghans are being repatriated to their country.
Arshad Khan’s lawyer requested the court to submit a respite, which the court approved and adjourned the hearing till April 22.
It is to be remembered that Arshad Khan was famous for his blue eyes while working on a tea shrub in Islamabad which became well known as he watched and has now opened a hotel in the UK.
