Former Pakistani head coach and Australian cricket legend Jason Gillespi has expressed surprise at not adding two players to the Pakistani squad, calling it a big mistake.
In his recent interview, Glyspei said that with the involvement of young players Irrfan Khan Niazi and Safian resident, Pakistan could have had a great benefit at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He is credited with Irfan Niazi’s batting and fielding capabilities and it was an incredible decision not to include him in the team.
He said that Irfan Khan Niazi is one of Pakistan’s most dangerous and best hard -hitters, he is also the best fielder in the country, it is incredible not to be elected for the Champions Trophy.

Jason Gillespie also praised the capabilities of young spinner Safian resident and described him as a valuable asset of Pakistan cricket.
He said that Safiyan is a talented cricketer. If he is given appropriate opportunities, he can serve for a long time for Pakistan cricket.
