A delegation led by Francesco Maria Talo, senior adviser to the Italian Ministry of Defense, met Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in which trade, education, culture and Cooperation in other areas was discussed.
The parties agreed to create opportunities for people by promoting partnerships in various sectors. In an interaction with the Italian guest delegation, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah invited Italian experts for the improvement of infrastructure, development of local industries through international cooperation and encouraging Sindhi students to study in Italian institutions. The Chief Minister and the Italian delegation emphasized the need to increase relations in the fields of trade, culture and education. Cooperation between Sindh and Italian industries in textiles, leather and agriculture could find new markets for economic growth.
In the meeting, interest was expressed in Italian investment in Sindh’s infrastructure, renewable energy projects and communication system. Murad Ali Shah said that the economy of Sindh can get a big support with Italian help in small and medium business.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the worthy students of Sindh can study in Italian institutions by taking scholarships. In the meeting, the possibility of Italian assistance to combat climate change, eliminate urban flooding and promote sustainable agriculture was also discussed.
