Quetta:
Pakistan Railways has suspended all train services from Balochistan to other provinces due to security concerns, due to which the Jafar Express service running between Quetta and Peshawar remained closed for the fifth day.
According to railway officials, the service will not be restored till November 13.
According to the sources, Bolan Mail to Karachi is also completely suspended and passengers have been instructed to travel by alternative means.
A senior railway official said on condition of anonymity that the decision was taken based on operational security reasons and the service would be resumed once the situation improves.
Passengers at the Quetta railway station complained that the refund process was slow despite cancellation of tickets and the fares of alternative transports had increased dramatically.
The railway administration has appealed the passengers to contact the railway inquiry or the concerned station for the latest information.
