Justice Isa’s evaluate petition: CJP constitutes 10-member bench to listen to case

A 10-member bigger bench, on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed directions, has been fashioned to listen to the evaluate petition filed by Justice Qazi Faie Isa within the presidential reference filed towards him, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Earlier, a six-member bench presided over by Justice Umar Ata Bandial had referred the matter to the CJP Gulzar Ahmed, after which the chief justice constituted the bench to listen to the case.

Justice Umar Ata Bandial will head the 10-member bench, which additionally contains judges who wrote dissenting notes within the presidential reference towards Justice Isa.

Meanwhile, sources mentioned that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Afridi, and Justice Maqbool Baqir are a part of the bench whereas Justice Aminuddin Khan has been included within the bench attributable to Justice Faisal Arab’s retirement. The case shall be heard on March 1.
