Kanye West: Adidas investigates after claims of ‘poisonous’ behaviour

Adidas has launched an investigation into studies that rapper Kanye West created a “toxic environment” when he was working with the model.

Rolling Stone reported claims from some employees on the Yeezy collaboration, saying he confirmed them express photos and movies as a part of bullying techniques.

In a letter, they mentioned bosses have been conscious of West’s “problematic behaviour” however “turned their moral compass off”.

Adidas mentioned it didn’t but know whether or not the allegations have any advantage.

“It is currently not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true,” the corporate mentioned in a press release on Thursday.

“However, we take these allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to launch an independent investigation of the matter immediately to address the allegations.”

West, who was dropped by the corporate final month after he posted anti-Semitic feedback on-line, has not responded to the Rolling Stone story.

Rolling Stone reported allegations from nameless workers members that he tried to intimidate them by way of behaviour that the journal described as “provocative, frequently sexualized, and often directed toward women”.

It quoted from the letter, during which workers members complained to Adidas about “the toxic and chaotic environment that Kanye West created” and “a very sick pattern of predacious behaviour toward women” who labored for him below the partnership.

According to Rolling Stone, the letter mentioned: “He has, in years past, exploded at women in the room with offensive remarks, and would resort to sexually disturbing references when providing design feedback. This type of response from a brand partner is one that Adidas employees should never be subjected to, nor should Adidas leadership ever tolerate.”

West has not as but commented on the claims. The BBC has tried to contact West.
