A collision between a tanker and a trawler on the Neti Jetty bridge spilled thousands of liters of oil onto the road.
There was a collision between a trawler and an oil tanker on its way to ICI from Neti Jetty bridge in Kemari area in Jackson police station limits, resulting in thousands of liters of oil spilling on the road.
After the accident, the bridge was closed to traffic due to the oil spill, which led to long queues of vehicles. According to the police, there was no loss of life in the accident.
After the incident, citizens rushed to the accident site with drums and started collecting the oil, while several people were also reported to be injured due to the slippage. Police and other agencies have started rescue operation and started investigation to find out the reasons of the accident.
According to the traffic police, there is heavy traffic due to the accident, but there are personnel who are trying to maintain the flow of traffic.
