4 people including husband, wife and son were injured due to the explosion caused by gas filling in the underground water tank.
A husband, wife, young son and a teenage girl were injured due to gas filling in the underground water tank of the house in Parana Golimar Afridi Village of Pak Colony.
As soon as the incident was reported, police and rescue volunteers reached the spot and the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Burns Ward for immediate medical assistance.
According to Edhi officials, the injured were identified as 24-year-old Amjad son of Younis, his wife Shamayla, 20-year-old wife of Amjad, 2-year-old son Hussain son of Amjad and 14-year-old Saira son of Amjad, sister of injured Amjad.
SHO Malik Mumtaz said that during the initial investigation, it has been found that the water motor placed near the underground water tank of the house filled the underground water tank due to a short circuit in it while running. There was a gas explosion, from which the husband, wife, son and teenage girl got burnt due to the burning flame. The police is also conducting further investigation.
