A series of heart-wrenching accidents due to uncontrolled heavy traffic continues in the city and a woman riding a motorcycle died after being hit by a trailer near Dua Hotel on Maripur Road.
According to the police, the body of the motorcyclist, who died after being hit by a trailer, was taken to the civil hospital by Edhi volunteers, where she was identified as 28-year-old Rehana.
Shakeel, the duty officer of Kalri police station, said that the woman was riding a motorcycle when it was hit by a trailer, as a result of which the woman fell on the road and was crushed to death under the wheels of the trailer.
The police arrived at the spot and detained Luqman, the driver responsible for the accident, and seized the trailer.
Duty Officer Shakeel said that the deceased was a resident and widow of Baldiya Etihad Town and her father had also passed away and the son of the deceased also reached the hospital, but the police handed over the body of the deceased to his mother after legal proceedings.
According to the police officer, the relatives of the deceased said that they will come for legal action after the burial.
