FIA State Bank Circle Karachi arrested a suspect involved in the illegal currency exchange.
The arrested suspect was identified as Syed Nawazish Raza, who was involved in an illegal currency exchange under the guise of a travel agency business. The accused was arrested from the travel agency office in Chowrangi.
During the raid, the accused recovered US $ 1950, 12130 Saudi riyals, 900 Australian dollars, 800 Canadian dollars and 5 million 83,000 Iraqi dinars. In addition, 6 lakh 14 thousand Pakistani rupees were also recovered from the accused. A $ 32,000 account of US $ 32,000 was also frozen.
During the raid, other records of mobile phones and foreign currency exchange were also recovered from the accused. The action was taken on secret information on the direction of the Director Karachi Zone.
The accused could not satisfy the authorities with regard to the currency recovered, on which he was arrested and investigated. Raids are being conducted to arrest other suspects.
