The Anti -Terrorism Court has ruled the famous drama writer Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar Honey Trap and kidnapping case for ransom.
The Lahore Anti -Terrorism Court has sentenced the renowned playwright Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar Honey Trap and the abduction for ransom, convicted three accused while the others were acquitted.
Judge Arshad Javed sentenced the accused Amana Uroj, Mamnoon Haider and Zeeshan to seven, seven years in prison for seeking ransom. However, the court ruled that the allegations of abduction could not be proved, so the conviction was not punished.
The court acquitted other nominees, including Hassan Shah, on the basis of insufficient evidence. According to the court, 17 witnesses were recorded by the prosecution, in light of which the verdict was pronounced.
It is to be remembered that Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar was allegedly kidnapped in the case and later demanded a ransom.
Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar was allegedly abducted by the accused on July 15. A case was registered against the accused on July 21 under the provisions of abduction and terror in the police station. A total of 11 accused trial began in the Anti -Terrorism Court in August.
A total of 17 witnesses appeared in court in Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar Honey Trap case. The witnesses include Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar, a friend of Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar, police and bank staff, Khalil -ur -Rehman Qamar Honey Trap case is just an accused on bail.
It may be recalled that the bail plea of the central accused Amana Uroz was rejected by the Lahore High Court.
