Kuwait Criminal Court Sentenced Expatriate Jail in an extramarital Affairs Order to Deport

Kuwait Criminal Court: Two separate cases of extra marital affair and blackmailing have been sentenced to migrants. Not only this, after completing their sentence, orders have been issued by the court to exclude them from the country. In the case of extra marital affair, the court has punished both the woman and her lover.

In the first case, the Criminal Court of Kuwait found a woman and her migrant lover guilty of joining the affair after marriage and sentenced them to two years in jail. It is illegal to have extra marital affair in Kuwait. However, the nationality of the migrant was not revealed. The court also ordered to be deported after his sentence was completed. The case came to light when the woman’s husband filed a legal complaint accusing him. Later the authorities caught the woman and her lover.

The second is the case of blackmailing

In another case, Kuwait’s Supreme Appeal Tribunal, the Court of Cassation upheld the previous decision against a migrant. It was found guilty of blackmailing a woman. The man had threatened the woman that if she did not give her money to keep her silent, he would send her old pictures to her husband. When the woman refused, she sent the pictures to her husband.

The court rejected his appeal against the fines imposed in the initial judgment. At the same time, the court directed the internal minister to implement the country’s foreign residence law and deport the person.

What does Kuwait’s law say?

These decisions of the court have come in Kuwait amid the recently implemented new residence law, including strict punishment and heavy fines for violations. Under the law, regular residence permits can be given for up to five years, while children of Kuwaiti women and real estate owners can get 10 years and investors can get a period of up to 15 years.

Violation of temporary or regular habitat rules can cause a year of up to one year and a fine of $ 3,900, while the visit visa over a period of time can have a one -year jail and a fine of $ 6,500.
