
Hamas- Israel News: Terrorist group Hamas on Saturday (January 4, 2025) released a video of Liri Albagh, a 19-year-old Israeli soldier captured on October 7, 2023. In this video she is seen broken and shattered with pain. In this three and a half minute video released by Hamas, Albagh tells about her imprisonment for more than 450 days.
‘This is not the Liri we knew’
After the release of the video, Liri’s mother said in a statement that today we came to know that Liri is alive. Liri’s mother further said that the video is difficult to watch. This is not the Liri we knew. This is Liri’s shadow. According to the Times of Israel, the family said this is not the daughter and sister we knew. Liri is in bad condition. Liri, who has always been strong, looks broken and shattered in the video.
Along with Liri, four more soldiers are in captivity of Hamas
251 people, including Liri Albagh, stationed at the Nahal Oz military base, near the Gaza border, were abducted by Hamas during the attack. Seven soldiers were held captive and kept under surveillance. Although one of the seven soldiers was saved, one was found dead in captivity. Apart from Liri Albagh, four other people, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Naama Levy and Daniela Gilboa are currently in Gaza.
‘While alive she is begging for her life’
Liri’s mother said this is the time when Liri and the other 99 hostages need to return home quickly. In Gaza, hostages held by Hamas face the threat of death every day. Liri Albagh’s mother urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to prioritize the release of the hostages. He said that we saw our Liri alive and begging for his life. He is several dozen kilometers away from us and for 456 days we have been unable to bring him home. Leary’s mother further said that take decisions regarding the hostages as if your children were there. Liri is alive and should come back alive.
