According to media reports, the Governor of California has demanded an independent investigation into how water shortages harmed the fight against fires in the Los Angeles area. Governor Gavin Newsom said he called for an independent investigation into claims about the lack of water supply at some fire hydrants and the alleged unavailability of water supply from the Santa Ynez Reservoir.
