Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has assured Maulana Fazlur Rehman of the approval of Madrasas Registration Bill.
According to Express News, PP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reached the JUI chief’s residence in order to persuade Maulana Fazlur Rehman and convince him of his anger over the Madrasa Bill issue.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with the delegation reached the residence of JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. After which a meeting was held between the two leaders.
Bilawal and Fazlur Rehman discussed important political issues in the meeting, while the JUI chief also discussed the non-signature of the President on the Madrasa Registration Act.
Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari of JUI, Senator Kamran Murtaza, Haji Ghulam Ali, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Maulana Asad Mehmood while PPP’s Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira participated in the meeting.
After an hour’s meeting, Bilawal Bhutto along with the delegation came outside Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence and left without talking to the media, but Raja Pervez Ashraf and JUI Senator Kamran Murtaza talked to the media.
The president is not the president of a political party, but the president of the state, Kamran Murtaza
Leaders of both the parties described the meeting as good. Senator Kamran Murtaza said that the president is the president of the state and not of any political party.
‘PP has assured that the Madrasas Registration Bill will be signed by the President’
The secretary general of JUI while talking to the media after Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the People’s Party has assured today that the president will sign the bill for the registration of madrasas.
‘Bilawal and Fazlur Rehman talked about religious schools’
He said that the bill related to the registration of Madrasahs has been approved by both the Senate and the National Assembly, now there is a delay on the part of the President regarding the signing of the Madrasas bill. In the meeting of the two leaders, only the bill of religious schools was discussed.
Earlier there was a telephonic contact between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
