The bomb disposal squad in Lucky district successfully foiled a major sabotage plan in the city.
According to the Dera Ismail Khan Police, on the information of the presence of an IED bomb planted under the bridge near Khana Kala in the limits of Tajuri police station of Lakki district, the police acted on the instructions of District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Jawad Ishaq.
Local police station Tajuri reached the spot and after cordoning off the area, the BDS personnel successfully recovered the explosive material and the IED bomb in a highly tactical manner, police said.
In this regard, it was further informed that the bomb was safely defused and the area was saved from major destruction.
According to the police, the purpose of the miscreants was to target the security forces, but the BDS squad did not allow the cowardly act and plan of the miscreants to succeed by deactivating a 15 kg bomb.
