Shafi Passes Away: Malayalam film maker Shafi, whose real name was Rashid MH, has died at the age of 56. The film maker, who is struggling with stroke, breathed his last at a hospital in Kochi on Saturday midnight. Actor Vishnu Unnikrishnan, while sharing a post on his social media, has informed about Shafi’s death.

According to Hindustan Times, hospital sources said that Shafi had a stroke on January 16, after which he was undergoing treatment. After 9 days of treatment, Shafi said goodbye to this world at 12.25 pm on 25 January.

When will the film maker be delivered?
According to family sources, Shafi’s body has been kept at his residence on BTS Road in Edapalli, Kochi. On Sunday, from 9 am to 12 noon, Cochin Service Co-operative Bank Hall, Kalur will be kept in Kalur, where people will be able to see their last. On Sunday, at 4 pm, his funeral prayers will be recited in the Kalur Muslim Zuma Masjid and they will be handed over.

Shafi’s career
Shafi made her own identity in the Malayalam film industry with her first film One Man Show in 2001. In a film career of more than 20 years, he directed more than ten films. He gave several blockbuster films with actor Dilip, including Kalyanraman, Marikundoru Kunjadu and Two Countries. Apart from this, Pulwal Kalyanam, Thommanam Makkalam, Mayavi and Chatambinadu are also his best creations. His last directed film was 2022 film Anandam Parmanandam.
