Malaysia has banned all flights coming from India.
The decision has also affected the flights of the Vande India mission, which led to the return of citizens between India and Malaysia.
The Indian Embassy has also confirmed that Malaysia has temporarily suspended air contact with India and that the ban will continue till the next order.
Prior to Malaysia, countries like the UK, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Iran have also banned the entry of passengers from India.
Malaysian Minister of Transport V, Shivong, said in a Facebook post that the decision was taken after a meeting of the National Security Council, which was applied on Wednesday.
He added that all domestic and foreign airlines and port operators have been instructed to fully implement the decision.
So far, more than 20 countries have imposed sanctions or strict conditions on the arrival of passengers from India.
