Mexico Bus Accident: A fierce road accident occurred on the morning of Saturday (February 8) in the Sasko state of Mexico, in which 41 people died tragically. The accident happened when a bus and truck collided with each other, after which the bus caught fire. Out of 48 people in the bus, 38 passengers and both drivers were killed, while the truck driver was also killed in the accident.

After the collision, the bus immediately caught fire and the passengers could not get a chance to flee. After the accident, the bus was completely gutted. In the pictures, only the iron structure of the bus is seen left. According to security agency sources, so far only 18 skulls have been identified. The rescue operation is still going on.

Investigation of accident
Bus operator company Tour Acosta has expressed deep grief over the accident on social media. The company said that they are investigating the accident with the officials to find out whether the bus was within the speed limit.

Accidents have happened before
This is not the first time that such an accident has happened in Mexico. In October last year, 19 people died in a bus and truck collision. The number of road accidents in Mexico has seen an increase since 2020. In 2022, 381,048 accidents occurred, in which 4803 people died and more than 90 thousand people were injured. One such case took place in the city of Jaipur in India in December last year, in which two trucks caught fire. There was also a strong explosion due to a fire in a container filled with oil. Around 40 people were badly burnt in that accident. At least 5 people were also killed.
