During the hearing of the missing citizen recovery case, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court remarked that the Missing Persons Commission does not allow it to work, but it is only deceiving.
In the case of the recovery of the missing citizen of Azad Kashmir, Mudassar Khan, the court ordered the DGMI to submit a closed envelope report.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court heard the case. Lawyer Iman Zainab Mazari appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner Nazima Fateh Yab, while the Assistant Attorney General and the representative of the Ministry of Defense also appeared before the court.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked that what is the use of this commission if it does not work, let this commission be closed, if that commission was working, why would this petitioner come here to the High Court?
The Assistant Attorney General said that the petitioner’s husband is missing from Muzaffarabad, where an FIR is registered. The court inquired whether the Army, ISI and MI there are separate or one and the same?
Iman Mazari Advocate said that since August this case is under hearing in the Missing Persons Commission, on November 18, the petitioner received a call from her husband from a number saying that she is in the custody of the agency. If you withdraw the request, the husband will come home in a few days.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said in his remarks that if the call came, it means a good thing that he is alive and well.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 27.
