
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has developed a mobile app for the convenience of the citizens, after which it will be possible to change the birth and death status at home.
According to the details, the second meeting of the National Registration and Biometric Policy Framework was held under NADRA.
During the meeting, Chairman Nadra briefed the steps taken to make the existing registration system free from the flaws.
He said that a mobile app has been developed for online registration of birth, death and marital status, and will be able to register the important events of urban life.
He said that the mobile app will be introduced in Punjab first. Biometric verification is being provided in all the union councils of Punjab for the convenience of the citizens.
He said that there would be a revolutionary improvement in the delivery of services, helping the preparation of accurate database of citizens important information.
Chairman Nadra told the participants that Nadra One Window Counters are being set up in the Union Councils of Islamabad.
The Chairman PTA apprised of the ongoing activities for the preparation of the National Biometric Policy and said that it would be finalized after receiving the views of the relevant parties on the draft.
The meeting presented a mobile app demo in a special session of local government officials while the meeting was attended by the leadership and senior officers of various ministries and institutions.
