Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced the facility of VPN registration through mobile number for the convenience of freelancers who do not have a static IP address.
Freelancers can register their mobile number with PTA to use VPN on their mobile data connection.
It should be noted that this initiative was taken to facilitate the VPN registration process for the promotion of the IT sector. So far more than 31 thousand VPNs have been registered by PTA.
Moreover, the Internet has again slowed down in various parts of the country, resulting in problems for users.
Not only videos and pictures are not downloading on social media apps, but browsing of other websites on the internet is also slow.
Wi-Fi service is also affected in many areas due to which users are facing problems in uploading and downloading. Online business, online classes and booking rides for travel are also facing difficulties.
Food delivery riders, and daily wage earners connected to online taxi services are seeing their jobs at risk. In the age of digital economy, the e-commerce sector has been hit hard by internet outages.
