Germany Muslim Population: The Muslim population has increased rapidly in the last few years in Germany, and the 2015 refugee crisis is responsible for the mainly behind it. Hamburg, where a controversial rally was held in 2024, is also an example of this change. Similarly, a large number of refugees in the industrial areas of Bavaria state and North Rhine-Westfolia have promoted competition for employment and housing, increasing incidence of stress and violence.

In 2024, a rally organized by a group called Muslim Interactive in Hamburg raised demand for Sharia law and violent slogans, which raised concern in Germany society. In addition, between 2021–2023, crimes related to Syrian refugees increased by 20 per cent, creating a sense of insecurity among the citizens of Germany. Taking advantage of this growing social stress, the right -wing group such as ‘Alternative for Germany’ (AFD) is also getting support.

Social stress and violence related to these demographic changes have created new challenges in the society of Germany.
