Never breastfeeding cats

Although it may seem unbelievable to hear, it is true that adult cats should never breastfeed, especially cow’s milk.

Although we see in daily experiences or in movies and stories that most cats are shown breastfeeding, the truth is very different.

Why not cats should breastfeed?

1. Lactose from lactose (Lactose Initoration)

In most adult cats, lactose is not an enzyme that digests lactose or is less or less. Due to this, milk does not digest and can be sick.

2. Indigestion and diarrhea

Drinking cow’s milk can cause problems like gas, diarrhea, vomiting and gastrointestinal pain.

3. Nutrition deficiency

Milk does not have all the nutrients that the cat needs to keep healthy, especially the essential amino acids like Taurine that are very important for cats.
