The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has a new history of centuries.
On Wednesday, English batter Joe Root scored a century against Afghanistan, which was the 11th century of the tournament. This is a new record of the highest centuries in any Champions Trophy edition. Earlier, 2002 and 2017 editions had 10 centuries.
So far 8 matches have been played in the tournament, including Will Ying, Tom Latham, Tawheed Hardoi, Shaman Gul, Rhine Rickelton, Ben Duckett, Josh Angles, Virat Kohli, Racha Ravindra, Ibrahim Zadran and Joe Root Centers.
It should be noted that a total of 15 matches will be played in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
