New Year: Fasl-e-Gul – Express Urdu

The sun of the year 2024 is approaching the sinking of the West, carrying various events, accidents, tragedies and unfulfilled longings in the hearts of people at its feet. The sun of the new year 2025 is going to rise from the east, spreading rays of new hopes, aspirations, desires, expectations and fresh passions, enthusiasm and possibilities.

The most heartbreaking and sad event in the world last year is the intensification of the Israeli-Palestinian war. Israel’s brutal bombing of innocent Palestinians continued in the past year as well. The OIC, the Arab League and the powerful countries of the world, including the United Nations, have so far failed to stop the increasing steps of Israeli brutality.

More than 45 thousand innocent, unmarried and innocent Palestinians have been martyred so far, including men, women and children. Israeli warplanes have targeted civilian populations, critical installations, schools and hospitals. Gaza has become a pile of rubble.

The indifference of the international community, the weaknesses and criminality of the Muslim world and the American backing have given Netanyahu the opportunity to fulfill his nefarious ambitions. Which is a very sad behavior. On January 25, the American leadership will change, Donald Trump will take over as president. The question is, will President Trump play his conciliatory role in the Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire or will he continue to encourage Netanyahu?

In 2024, the rulers who have been in power for years in two Muslim countries, Bangladesh and Syria, had to leave their country facing disgrace. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Hasina Wajid, who is the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been the Prime Minister of Bangladesh continuously for the past 16 years.

He had the patronage of the Indian government from day one. However, on August 2024, under public pressure, he had to resign and flee to India for his life from Bangladesh. Today, Bangladesh has an interim government under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, who will run the country until new elections.

In another Muslim country, Syria, the half-century rule of the Assad family has come to an end. Bashar al-Assad, who had been able to crush the rebellion against him for the past several years with the help of his supporting countries Russia and Iran, this time he faced failure. The rebels ousted him from power. As a result, like Hasina Wajid, she had to flee her country and seek political asylum in Russia. Like Bangladesh, Syria also has an interim government headed by Ahmad al-Sharia, who will be in charge of running the country until new elections.

Today America is the only superpower in the world. Last year’s election was a historic victory for Donald Trump, who unexpectedly faced assassination attacks, lawsuits and political grudges and vendettas. He will assume the presidency on January 20. Although Pakistan-US relations have never been ideal and confident, there has been no significant and unusual tension in Pakistan-US relations during the Joe Biden era.

However, in the last days of his tenure, the ban on four ballistic missile manufacturing companies and the statement by US Deputy National Security Adviser John Faiz has created a stir in Pakistan-US relations that Pakistan is manufacturing such missiles. Those who can use nuclear weapons to target targets outside of South Asia, i.e. even America.

The Pakistani Foreign Office has described the American decision as biased, while Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said in very clear words that there is no justification for the American sanctions imposed on us due to the missile program. People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also clearly said that we will not make any kind of bargain or compromise on our nuclear assets and missile program. In 2025, there are no prospects of happy and positive relations in Pakistan-US relations, which is certainly a worrying situation for the rulers.

Last year, the events that took place in various fields of national life kept the entire country in a state of anxiety. From law and order to political, judicial, governmental, economic and public issues, no heart-satisfying news was heard. Incidents of terrorism are continuously happening in two important provinces of the country, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

The brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army are rightly proud of the unparalleled sacrifices they are making to bring the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij to their end by sacrificing their precious lives. The increase in Pak-Afghan border tension in the last days of December is a cause of concern.

Pakistan has urged the Afghan government at the highest government level to take steps to prevent its soil from being used against Pakistan. It is now the responsibility of the Afghan government to realize the sensitivity of the situation, otherwise the consequences will fall on the Afghan government.

Although we have managed to revive the bankrupt economy by taking loans from the IMF, but due to the strict conditions of the IMF, the increase in the prices of electricity and gas and the rising inflation will add to the hardships of the common man in 2024. has increased Bilawal Bhutto has rightly said that the economic improvement is visible only on paper, the people should benefit from it.

He criticized the government and said that (N) League does not have enough majority to take unilateral and controversial decisions, (N) League’s politics starts from the motorway and ends at the metro. Bilawal Bhutto complained that the government is not fully implementing the agreement with PPP.

The question is that the (N) League is not able to satisfy its most important ally, the PPP, despite making an agreement, so why can negotiations with the PTI and a possible agreement lead to a positive outcome? For this reason, observers and analysts are not very optimistic about the PTI government negotiations and in 2025, the tension between the government and the opposition seems to be increasing instead of decreasing.

Hope motivates a person and gives hope to live. The people are optimistic about the new year after forgetting the bitterness of the last year and expect that in 2025, the ruling class and the opposition will put aside their differences and resolve serious public and national issues through mutual consultation and consensus for the sake of the country. We will try so that law and order is restored in the country, the economy is stable, the rule of law and constitution is established, the continuity of democracy is maintained and the dear country moves towards the destination of development and happiness. According to the poet:

May God descend on my holy land

The flower crop which is not afraid of decay
