A bus collided with a sand-laden truck near Baburi village within the district on Thursday, leaving 9 individuals useless and 27 injured, police stated.
The bus carrying 70 passengers was going to Bahraich from Delhi when the accident happened, Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Prasad, stated, including the accident happened when the bus driver tried to keep away from hitting a stray cow.
The injured have been rushed to a trauma centre in Lucknow.
While condoling the lack of lives within the accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath introduced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh every for the household of victims and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
Adityanath has requested the native administration to supply absolute best medical care to the injured.
